On January 21, 2016, I did a live Web Cast at the Apigee office in downtown San Jose entitled “Modernizing SOA with APIs”. This is the story of one large organization’s journey from SOA to APIs. I hope there is much to be learned from my experiences deploying Apigee Edge Public Cloud to modernize an existing distributed, enterprise SOA-based architecture. The existing infrastructure manages SOAP, XML-based services, and a number of REST APIs built on the IBM Integration Stack. In the webcast we cover:
- the architectural justifications
- requirements and use cases that were identified
- best practices
- lessons learned
The video of the live web cast can be viewed here. Or, watch below.
